Baby Graydon Carl Hazell was born in Calgary on March 18, 2010.
He was 8 lbs., 7.5 oz. and was 19.25 inches long.
Everyone is doing very well.

She was 7 pounds, 2 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

Sensei Yosh Senda
It is with deep sadness that Judo Alberta announces the passing of Yosh Senda Sensei, 9th Dan. Sensei passed away in Lethbridge on September 9 at age 87 surrounded by family after a battle with cancer.
Here are a few of Sensei’s accomplishments:
- Canada’s first and only 9th Degree Black Belt
- A Life Member of Judo Canada
- Head instructor and coach of Lethbridge Judo Club since 1952
- Judo Canada national coach for 10 years, during which he coached Judo Canada’s athletes to the Pan American Games, World Championships and Olympics
- Honorary Doctor of Law degree from the University of Lethbridge
- The Order of the Sacred Treasures, Gold and Silver Rays conferred by His Majesty, the Emperor of Japan
- Recipient of the Order of Canada, Canada’s highest civilian Honour

The Senda family is having a private funeral service for Sensei. A public memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 19th at 2:00 pm in the University of Lethbridge's Wellness Centre.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Dr. Yoshio & Florence Senda Scholarship Fund" at the University of Lethbridge, 4401 University Dr., Lethbridge, AB T1K 3M4, or to the "City of Lethbridge/Lethbridge Judo Club", 910 - 4 Ave. S., Lethbridge, AB T1J 0P6.
